About Kerry

In 2012, I trained as a breastfeeding peer supporter for Essex NHS services. This role involved spending time on the postnatal ward of my local hospital working as a volunteer peer supporter to get breastfeeding off to a good start with newborn babies.

I then accredited as a breastfeeding counsellor with La Leche League, the international breastfeeding support charity. In 2016 I opened a new local branch called La Leche League Chelmsford where I continue to give my time freely as a volunteer.

In 2019, I was honoured to be asked to represent the charity by taking part in a podcast with Stacey Solomon where she sought to reflect on her breastfeeding journey with son, Rex. The podcast is still available to stream and is one recorded example of a breastfeeding de-brief.

I am a member of the Lactation Consultants of Great Britain, having qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2021. Since then I’ve been offering breastfeeding support services to Essex and surrounding areas.
